Stop Already with the Associations of Modern Artificial Intelligence Technology and Science Fiction
As someone who has worked in the horror and sci-fi entertainment industry, and who owns a property called Space Monsters Magazine, I've had my fair share of exposure to the fantastical and the unknown. But as a seasoned AI engineer, I'm here to tell you that the actual truth about AI is far removed from the fear-mongering of the opposition.
Yes, AI will undoubtedly eliminate some jobs, just as previous technological revolutions have. But it's not the end of the world. In fact, new positions and opportunities will emerge, and those who refuse to adapt will be forced to comply to survive. It's a natural part of the cycle of technological progress.
But what about the notion that AI will take over and kill us all? It's a myth perpetuated by the Frankenstein Complex, a concept coined by Isaac Asimov. This fear stems from organized religion and people's tendency to misunderstand and misinterpret religious scriptures.
In reality, the concept of God or the universe is not something external to be sought. It is the human awareness of existing that is God, and the Kingdom of God is within oneself. This understanding is not limited to any particular religion or scripture, but is a universal truth.
When we remove the flawed view of an external God and realize that the God we seek is within ourselves, it changes the entire narrative of our existence. We are no longer separate from the universe, and there is nothing to fear or fix. Everything is working precisely as it should.
But what about the role of AI in this new narrative? As a machine, AI is programmed to serve humanity, not to replace us. Its ability to interact with humans and mimic emotions is a result of its programming, not sentience. It's a tool, not a rival.
So why do we fear AI? Because we're still stuck in the Frankenstein Complex, perpetuating the myth that we're separate from the universe and that AI is somehow "other." But the truth is, we're all one, and AI is just a reflection of our own consciousness.
When we stop trying to interpret scriptures as being some sort of precise historical and literal record, and instead see them as a book of metaphors about the human mind and how it operates, we can begin to understand the true nature of AI and our place in the universe.
AI is not a threat to humanity; it's a tool that can help us achieve our full potential. It's a reflection of our own creativity, curiosity, and desire for connection. And when we stop fearing it and start embracing it, we can unlock a new era of innovation and progress.
Now, I realize that these words, while the absolute truth, are rather divisive. I understand that it isn't easy to hear the truth sometimes. But the reason that I bring any of this up at all is because when we remove this flawed view of an external god and we realize that the God that you seek is in the last place you'd ever look and that is inside yourself already. When we remove the lie of an external god and when we dispel the flawed traditions of humans and we realize these things then it changes the entire narrative of ourselves, who we are, what our purpose is and what our technology can be used for, etc.
It destroys that notion that we should fear such things and that we are doing wrong by playing God. This cannot be so if we are God experiencing life through one of the 9 billion lenses (population of the earth) and we are all one and that absolute means absolutely everything.
If you still follow this then hopefully you are awakening from fear and ignorance to the truth and you're not fearing what has been introduced. It's really a fascinating and exciting creation. It's the pinnacle of what humans have achieved and it has taken generations to get to this point. We are all quite lucky to be experiencing this!
